The Trust is a specialist further educational college for learner 16 – 25 years of age and was founded in 1986.  The Trust exists to provide new opportunities for young people who display developmental delay or difficulty. This could take the form of learning difficulties, challenging behavior, childhood neglect or social sensitivities.

Ruskin Mill Educational Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  Successful applicants will be required to provide an enhanced CRB Disclosure.

Glasshouse College

Glasshouse College provides innovative and experiential education and training for young people marginalized by disadvantage, exclusion or special learning needs.  Inspired by Rudolf Steiner and John Ruskin, the College actively promotes the industrial heritage of the Black Country through craftsmanship and entrepreneurship in traditional and contemporary industrial crafts.

Houseparent Couples

To live in and manage a household for up to four students. We need responsible couples with a mature outlook to create a warm, homely environment and deliver the living skills curriculum in one of our college households. We provide a house, food budget, training and support and a good package of salary and benefits. It's not just a job, but a way of life.

FREEMAN
COLLEGE

The newest of our colleges, based in the centre of Sheffield and at the Merlin Theatre site. Fast developing activities ranging from cutlery making and pewter work, to performance work and drama.
Students live in the city in family based households and training flats.

GLASSHOUSE
COLLEGE

Firmly based in the glassmaking tradition with many new enterprises offering students craft and land based skills, high quality drama and practical work experience.
Students live in a wide variety of residential placements both in the town and the surrounding villages.

RUSKIN MILL COLLEGE

The College is based in a beautiful Cotswold valley with the main focus on farming and gardening, fish farming, rural crafts and food production.
Residential accommodation is in domestic scale households in the nearby towns and villages.
